A total of 35 hopefuls advanced from Las Vegas on So You Think You Can Dance last night.
But the two-hour episode really boiled down to Alexa Anderson.
The judges initially singled out Alexa - a Season 8 contestant who fell just short of the Top 20 - for not connecting during a routine, with Adam Shankman telling her: "We’re debating putting you through because you are dead... Dance like you want it, honey."
Later on - incredibly! - Anderson tried again and blew the panel away with her emotion and enthusiasm. It was almost as if the show planned out the entire arc!
“This child could win,” Debbie Allen said during Alexa’s solo, while Nigel Lythgoe agreed, telling the now-bubbly blonde: "You’ve got a little star by your name."
